Ornamental Premium is a pre-seeded, biodegradable lawn mat designed for a dense, low-growing ornamental finish across both sun and shade. For best germination and long-term turf quality, target cool-season planting windows and follow a disciplined moisture routine during the first weeks.

Optimal planting windows

Best results are obtained when installing in the early spring or fall, when daily temperatures range between 15 °C and 26 °C, as these conditions support stable seedling growth and stronger early density.

Spring planting: Install in early spring when temperatures are between 12 °C and 26 °C. This creates runway for rooting and density build-up before summer stress periods.
Fall planting: Install in late summer or early fall when daily temperatures are consistently between 18 °C and 26 °C. Warm days and cool nights support establishment while reducing drought risk.

Establishment & early use

Care: Monitor weeds and turf diseases during the first weeks while coverage is still developing, especially in shaded zones with slower surface drying.
Irrigation: Keep the seedbed consistently moist. If the surface dries out, germination can slow down significantly or stop completely.
Germination: Typically 2–4 weeks in ideal conditions.
First cut: When the grass reaches 5–7 cm, it can be mowed carefully (site-dependent), typically within 2–4 weeks.
First use: Allow only limited use after 3–4 weeks. Full usability comes once roots have penetrated the soil and the turf is anchored.
Foot traffic & pets: After 3–5 mowing cycles, the lawn is generally ready for regular foot traffic. Keep pets away from newly installed areas while seedlings are fragile.
